Photos brought to you by my lovely husband, I can’t be serious when he is behind the camera.
I hope that you all had a splendid Mother’s Day weekend! Jared took me out for a wonderful date night on Friday night to celebrate Mother’s Day and to get me out of the house! All the boxes and piles of our junk really have me going stir crazy so I was so thankful to get to spend some one on one time with my hubby. We went and did a little thrifting, followed by a very exciting trip to Lowe’s to pick out paint colors and light fixtures for the new house, and we ended the night with a huge tray of sushi and some wine at one of our favorite local places! It’s hard to plan date nights when you’re a pair of homebodies with two young kids, but I thought we had a pretty good time. It does sound exciting, doesn’t it?
I went pretty simple with my date night outfit, I’m usually found in jeans, so this was definitely a step up. Dresses are just so impractical when you’re running after a toddler and a four year old, so I dug this from the back of my closet and threw on my favorite new shoes and we ran out the door, no turning back. I clean up pretty nicely, well at least I think so!
What did you do for your momma this weekend? Anything extraordinary or extra exciting?

Gah! I'm so excited I found your blog on the Thriftfanatic link up. I was just checking it out and I just adore it. I would love if you could visit my little corner of the internet as well and tell me what you think. Oh and I love this outfit. I have the same dress but I bought it in coral.
