I’m so excited to share this really easy crochet project with you guys! This is the first project I’ve done since the move and boy did it feel great to be back! I’ve missed all my yarn! This week’s pin-spiration post had me feeling very fruity, so I started brainstorming fun crochet projects that would be fitting for summer. These fruit coasters were the perfect choice! They are super simple to do, I finished my set in about two hours. I used this easy to follow pattern and then once I got the basics down I improvised and made some other fruits. I’m especially in love with the little kiwi fruit coaster, you can find my pattern for that below! Get really creative with these, just changing colors and adding little details like the seeds can make a ton of different fruity flavors. My kids are already using these cute coasters on the back patio, they turned out to be a huge hit!
What You’ll Need
H Hook
Worsted Weight yarn in the fruity colors of your choice.
Scissors
Yarn Needle

Kiwi Pattern:
Row 1: with white yarn MC, Chain 2, 12 dc in loop. sl stitch to join into first DC and fasten.
Row 2: switch to green yarn Attach new color, Chain 2, 2 DC in each stitch. sl stitch to join into first DC.
Row 3: Chain 2, 2 DC, 1 DC in the next stitch. Repeat around. sl stitch to join into first DC and fasten.
Row 4: color change to tan yarn SC in every stitch around, sl stitch to join in first SC. Fasten.
Weave in all of your ends, and then add stitches with black yarn toward the white center to look like kiwi seeds.
Easy as pie!

I hope you have a blast making these fruit coasters!

These are too cute! The only thing I ever attempted to crochet was a (very skinny) scarf, so I'll skip this DIY. Looks good though!
The watermelon one is so cute!
very cute!! the colors are awesome, and what an awesome addition to a summer day out on the patio or something!

Will you be making more for sale? When it comes to crocheting it's like a foreign language to me! lol
These are darling! I'm pretty new to crocheting, but I'd love to give these a try.
